The University of Dunaújváros (UoD) was the first in the country to hold a Pannonia Day.
The Pannonia Scholarship Programme turned one year old in March 2025. On this occasion, our University organised the event "Pannonia Day at UoD".
In his welcome speech, Marcell Benkó, Director General of the Foundation for the University of Dunaújváros, emphasized that "in the past year, there have been more student mobility and outbound trips than in the previous three Erasmus years combined. A new agreement has been signed with the Tempus Public Foundation, under which our institution will receive additional quotas."

On behalf of the University Dr. István András, Rector welcomed the participants. In his speech he emphasised that "cooperation with neighbouring countries is much more effective. Our aim is to make our students more cosmopolitan, which is perfectly possible with the Pannonia Scholarship Programme provided by the Tempus Public Foundation."
Richárd Bodrogi, Director General of the Tempus Public Foundation, said that "we have opened the Pannonia Scholarship Programme to the 21 renewed universities. Participants can travel anywhere in the world with the help of this programme. Students will receive full credit recognition so the participation in the scholarship programme will not cause a delay in their studies. Our goal is to achieve 20,000 outgoing mobility in higher education by 2030."

Dr. László Balázs, Academic Vice-Rector, stressed that "43 student and 18 faculty mobility trips have been completed within the framework of the Pannonia Scholarship Programme so far, and by the end of this academic year, another 45 student and 27 faculty mobility trips will be completed. Short-term mobility involves students and teachers participating together. It is also important for the teachers to gain experience in an international environment in preparation for the next mobility programme."
The event continued with an online presentation of universities abroad. PAR University of Applied Sciences from Croatia, the University of Zaragoza-Polytechnic School Teruel from Spain and UCAM Catholic University of Murcia have registered. At the end of the event, Ábner Strasszer, who is currently studying in Germany through the Long-Term Mobility programme, shared his story.
