The Orientation Day was held on September 26, 2025, at the University of Dunaújváros to welcome the new international freshman students. The event began with a presentation by Zita Solymos the representative of the International Relations Directorate (IRD), who gave a detailed overview of the most important topics, such as the work of various departments (Study Office, IRD), the procedure for student registration, how to start their studies, and how to get involved in university life and opportunities.

New students received university merchandise prepared to support their academic journey. A coffee break followed, featuring Hungarian pastries and drinks, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for everyone to connect.
A special guest coach Zoltán Temesvári was invited for a motivational speech, which was one of the highlights of the day. After the speech Ms. Mária Kerékgyártó from the IRD led a campus tour introducing students to the main buildings, including the library, sports hall, studios and laboratories.

The Orientation Day was a successful and engaging event that provided essential information and a warm welcome to the new students joining the university community. We hope that in the next academic year we can welcome even more students.

The International Club continued its vibrant tradition at University of Dunaújváros bringing students together to exchange cultural diversity.Held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the event welcomed 31 students, eager to explore the unique identities of two fascinating countries: Sri Lanka and Rwanda.The event served as a platform for meaningful cultural exchange, personal stories, and lively discussions, all presented in English to foster inclusivity and international understanding.The first presentation led by Sahiru, took the audience on an immersive journey through Sri Lanka, a country known for its breathtaking natural beauty and deeply rooted traditions. Attendees learned about the rich biodiversity of the island, traditional attire, and rituals that have withstood the test of time.

Following that, Chantal took center stage to share the cultural and historical essence of Rwanda. Her presentation touched on a wide range of topics including history, language diversity, local celebrations, and the nation’s significant transformation in recent decades. She also delved into Rwandan cuisine, traditional music and dance, and the important role of sports in uniting communities. Attendees were particularly intrigued by Rwanda’s strong sense of national identity and the country’s efforts toward reconciliation and innovation.

Connection and Learning
The event was not just a set of presentations but a genuine cultural experience. The audience engaged with thoughtful questions, and many lingered afterward to continue conversations sparked by the topics covered.
As the I Club remains a cornerstone of intercultural engagement at University of Dunaújváros we are pleased to continue our series of events. The next gathering will take place on 5th November at 3:00 p.m. in Building “F” room 308. All are warmly welcome to join!
