Professional Mentor Teacher System

Learning is finding out what you already know. Doing is demonstrating that you know it. Teaching is reminding others that they know just as well as you. You are all learners, doers, teachers.

(Richard Bach)

„No college or university in the world can do more for you than help you help yourself.”

(Frank Bettger)

Our university’s mentor and mentor system was created with the purpose of helping our students integrate seamlessly into university life. Its most important task is to actively participate in the training of professionals with a balanced, high level of self-knowledge who manage their conflicts well, therefore our colleagues provide continuous, individual, personalized advice in the management of students' learning and study-related matters.

The professional mentor

  • helps with individual coaching/counseling; and
  • provides information to students on academic matters such as

- development of individual, curriculum
- examination schedule
- orientation of the credit system, and
- in the maze of study and examination regulations;

  • provides support for the optimization of administration in a wide range of study matters;
  • provides assistance to support students' academic progress;
  • helps students to answer and solve their questions and requests related to their trainings and specializations.
  • Operation of the professional mentoring system (curriculum):

First-year students are required to attend the Professional Mentoring Class in the first two semesters. Participation is obligatory 5 times per semester, of which 3 times in the 1st, 6th and 15th weeks of the diligent period, the professional mentoring class is organized by major. During the other weeks, they can attend classes on a voluntary basis, but at least 2 times, where a more personalized, one-on-one mentoring position is available.
