On October 22, 2024, the University of Dunaújváros hosted its second I Club event of the fall semester, following the success of the previous one.
The I Club, is an initiative aimed at fostering cultural exchange and enhancing social connections among both local high school students and international students of the University of Dunaújváros.
Held in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, the event featured various activities that encouraged students to share their cultural backgrounds, experiences, and insights.
Participants had the opportunity to engage in informal discussions with peers from different countries and break down language and cultural barriers.
This time, participants had the opportunity listening not just two but three interesting presentations form the students of Bánki Secondary School and the international students of the University of Dunaújváros.
As the first presentation we can delve into the story of Ede Teller who was the the father of the H-Bomb the producers of the presentation were students from Bánki Technical Secondary School, Zoltán Ábrahám, Attila Kálmán and Zoltán Kálmán.
The second presentation was given by two Chinese students from our university, Jingwen Ma and Yuwei Li, who both brought a short presentation from their hometown.
Finally, we were introduced to the history and traditions of Ethiopia by one of our students from our master courses, Elshaday Gashaw Aysheshim.
The I Club serves as an important platform for the university's diverse student body, offering a space for international students to feel more integrated into the community while providing local students with a chance to learn about global perspectives. The event aligns with the university's broader goal of promoting internationalization and inclusiveness.
By organizing such events regularly, the University of Dunaújváros continues to strengthen its reputation as a globally minded institution that values cultural diversity and student engagement.
Thank you for the wonderful presentations and the attention of all those who attended.
See you in the spring semester!
