A Climate Conference was held at UOD, organized by the Municipality of Dunaújváros and the Foundation for Higher Education in Dunaújváros.

The conference was organized within the framework of the project under the identification number KEHOP-1.2.1-18-2019-00254 named ,,For a livable climate – local climate strategy and attitude formation in Dunaújváros”.

 

The presenters and their topics:

  • Lajos Németh: What will happen to you Earth, what will happen to you climate?
  • Rita Pongrácz: Making regional climate visions for the XXI. century and what kind of climate can we expect in Hungary by the end of the century?
  • Kornélia Kaiser: Climate and environment protection activities at Hamburger Hungária ltd.
  • Endre Kiss: Decomposition of airborne pollutants with rapid electrical discharges concerning climate protection.
  • Ildikó Angerer Petrovickiné: Interrelation between air pollution and climate change in Dunaújváros and proposals for a livable climate in Dunaújváros.

The event attracted a hight number of participant, the great lecture hall of the university’s building ”A” was successfully filled. The presentations covered the full range of climate change and the factors that prevent it, thus raising awareness of the need for change. The audience could get a lot of exciting facts and information during the event.
