Hungarian Startup University Program’s (HSUP) goal is to nurture the interest towards innovation and etrepreneurship of domestic university students and increase the number of enterprises started by them.

 

Acquiring innovative approach and wakening the interest towards innovation are the main focus points of the program. HSUP allows the young to comprehend the structure and operation of the ecosystem of innovation and startup. Furthermore, it creates an opportunity for them to join.

The two years in-the-making, available at 27 university nationvide program’s about 300 supported projects of which currently 3 leader of the groups attend University of Dunaújváros (DUE/UOD). Many innovative ideas such as career guidance platform, technical diagnostic system and applicaton for promoting daily shopping are all included in the project owners’s plans of DUE.

 

 

One of the groups of University of Dunaújváros is named Steps. The team called The Next members are the following:

  • Anett Erdődi (Budapest Business School)
  • László Godena-Juhász (Budapest Metropolitan University)
  • Viktória Horváth (University of Szeged)
  • Dániel Vadkerti-Tóth (University of Szeged)
  • and their mentor: Gergő Rokob (the commercial leader of a software developer corporation)

Their slogan goes like: ,,The first steps begin with us!” The motive of the statement is that they develope an application for all the important information regarding career choice.

 

 

The following team’s name is RemotEar. „Machines talk and we hear it!”

RemotEar is a supporting technical diagnostic system of maintenance strategy for engine room sounds that can be heard by free ear. It provides key information concerning operation and supervision by recording and analysing the noise coming from machines.

  • and their mentor: Dalma Berkovics (the leader of startup program of a global enterprise)

Cvekker is a mobile app, which navigates the user to a shop that offers everything on the list made by the customer for the best price among other stores. Besides that, shopping lists and home inventory would be the aim of the application.

 

 

In the spring of 2022, HSUP course includes 11 university students of UOD Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Organizational Developement and Communication Science of which 8 idividual receive scholarship and 3 function as project owners. Nevertheless, 5 other students have joined projects running on the University of Dunaújváros or other institutions. Both Business Administration and Management BA, Mechanical Engineering BSc, Engineering Management BSc and Communication and Media Science BA students are participating ing the HSUP program.
