Last year had a lot in store for all of us. We could learn much about ourselves, our surroundings, and how we can cope with turbulent times. Thinking about this period characterized by the epidemic, we may conclude that everything was bad about it. Yet, if we look deep inside our hearts, we can find plentiful positive memories.

The University of Pécs invites all students studying in Hungary to a competition with the aim of highlighting those moments and events that put a positive spin on the dire situation, be those tiny, forward-looking memories or a long-lasting, deep-rooted impacts.

The goal with this photography game is to showcase positive, heart-warming moments and experiences that may help amidst the hardships.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

All photos which were (or are to be taken) during the pandemic depicting a moment of positive impact, and you are willing to share with the greater audience, are welcome in the game.

The game has two categories:

  • High school students in Hungary
  • Citizens of Hungarian and international universities

The participants are required to give a free licence of their photo(s) to UP (including making the photos public on UP’s sites) by filling in and signing the Application Form (licence agreement and data sheet). The data sheets (.docx and .pdf forms) are available here:

A maximum of 3 photos per person can be submitted. Image size: min. 5 MP.

A professional jury will choose the 50 best photos, which we will publish on UP’s official social media sites. The top 3 participants will receive valuable prizes in both categories.

The jury will make its decision by 10 May 2021.

After the submission period, we will publish a collection of pre-selected photos for an audience poll. The photo receiving the most votes will receive a special award. Later on, we will exhibit the photos (with the participants’ permission) at the UP’s and other partner universities’ campuses.

We will notify the participants about the results via e-mail.
