Online Talent Day – we won’t skip holding our annual event

The University of Dunaújváros organizes every spring semester the Talent Day Conference as the "forerunner" of TDK (the local round of the National Scientific Students' Associations Conference).

In the framework of the event, students can present the topic they are dealing with as an extracullicular activity, in form of short lectures .

Similarly to TDK, the topics presented are evaluated by a jury, on the basis of which the jury determines the order and proposes the rankings.

Despite the changed circumstances, UOD colleagues responsible for Talent Development are proposing the conference to be held in May, 2020 as well, but this time online.

We are planning an unusual and hopefully non-repeatable online conference which is intended to be held in the TEAMS system, both for Hungarian and International students as well as for the possibly paticipating high school students.

 

The conference is tentatively scheduled to take place as follows:

  • The date of the conference: 20th May 2020. 12.00
  • The date of the conference’s Educational Sciences Session: 20th May 2020. 17.00
  • Form / venue: Online Teams Meeting

Presentation: 10 minutes+5 minutes discussion

Evaluation: The performance will be scored by the jury, which will determine the order based on the sum of the scores.

Rewarding: all lecturers will receive a commemorative card, and the students who achieve placement will receive a diploma including the achieved placement. The summary of the lectures will be published in UOD’s online publication called "Dunakavics".

Writing a written paper on the topics presented on the Talent Day is not necessary, but presenting an interactive online presentation during the lecture is expected.
