The Hungarian Startup University Program (HSUP) 2026 Demo Day event was once again one of the key gatherings of the domestic university innovation ecosystem this year. At the event, the program’s most promising student startup teams—including Virtual Cohesion from the University of Dunaújváros (UoD)—had the opportunity to present their developments to a panel of experts, investors, and corporate partners.

On July 3, 2026, at the event held at the Budapest Innovation Campus, participants delivered short pitches in English to present the business ideas they had been developing for months—ideas that offer innovative solutions to real-world market and social problems. Demo Day was not merely a competition; it also provided an excellent opportunity for networking and professional development, as students received direct feedback from key players in the startup ecosystem and had the chance to establish professional collaborations and investor relationships.

“The members of the UoD team proved that, with their youthful enthusiasm and boldness, they held their own even among the 44 nationally recognized scholarship recipients,” said Szilvia Kovács, coordinator of the UoD-HSUP project.

The event served as a fitting conclusion to the two-semester HSUP program for the 2025/2026 cohort, which aimed to foster an entrepreneurial mindset, develop innovation skills, and support the creation of market-ready startups.

The Virtual Cohesion team—a project developed by three computer engineering students at UoD — aims to address the challenges that are increasingly common in hybrid and remote work environments. The project focuses particularly on reducing employee isolation and strengthening relationships within teams.
