On 27 March 2026, we had the pleasure of organizing a cultural excursion for 50 of our international students to the historic cities of Győr and Pannonhalma Archabbey.

At the University of Dunaújváros, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. This trip was a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience Hungary’s rich cultural heritage firsthand. In Győr, we explored the charming baroque city center, where history and vibrant city life come together in a unique atmosphere.

Our journey continued to Pannonhalma, where we visited the Pannonhalma Archabbey, one of Hungary’s oldest and most beautiful historical landmarks. Perched on a hill overlooking the surrounding countryside, the Abbey offers breathtaking panoramic views of the rolling landscapes of Western Hungary with vineyards and forests.

Students were especially impressed by the Abbey’s magnificent basilica and its remarkable library, which holds an invaluable collection of historic manuscripts and books. The peaceful atmosphere of the site combined with its thousand-year-old history made the visit truly unforgettable.

Beyond sightseeing, the excursion also gave students the chance to connect with one another, share experiences, and create lasting memories.

We are proud to support our international community through such programs, fostering a sense of belonging while introducing them to Hungary’s cultural richness.
