The International Club held another engaging session on 25 February 2026, welcoming around 50 students who gathered to learn, share, and celebrate global perspectives.
This month’s event featured two insightful presentations one from a Hungarian secondary school student and one from an international student currently studying at our university.
A Hungarian Perspective: Formula One
Our first speaker, Máté Hurtony, a student from Bánki School, delivered an enthusiastic presentation on the world of Formula One.
Guided and supported by his teacher, Filarszkyné Tolnai Ágnes, Máté introduced the audience to the excitement, history, and technological innovation behind one of the world’s most-watched racing series. His passion encouraged many students to engage with questions about teams, drivers, and race strategy.

A Journey to São Tomé and Príncipe
Our second speaker, international student Helton Soares De Encarnacao, offered the audience a captivating look into his home country, São Tomé and Príncipe.
He highlighted the islands’ rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and unique traditions, giving students a chance to learn about a country many had never encountered before.
