Cultural Adventures for International Students in Dunaújváros and the Balaton Region. The International Relations Directorate organized a diverse and enriching 3 days program for international students, offering them the opportunity to explore Hungary’s cultural, historical, and natural heritage.

The first day, May 19, began with a guided walking tour of Dunaújváros.
Students visited landmarks such as the Bartók Chamber Theatre, the City Hall, and the scenic Danube riverside. They gained insight into the city’s history and architecture.

This program was followed by a traditional Hungarian folk dance performance by the regionally well-known dance group “VELED az Ifjúságért” Kulturális és Hagyományörző Egyesület. The performance created a vibrant atmosphere, inviting all attendees present at the venue to join in the experience.

To close the day, participants were offered a sweet glimpse into Hungarian cuisine, with a tasting of local cakes and pastries.

On the second day, May 20, within the framework of TDK 2025 students attended and delivered engaging and interesting presentations by both Hungarian and International Students of the UoD.

On the third day, May 21, the group visited Balatonfüred, where they explored the town aboard a miniature sightseeing train. Despite the gloomy weather, taking the ferry across Lake Balaton was a memorable experience for everyone. Visiting the historic village of Tihany and the renowned Benedictine Abbey provided a rich historical and cultural insight into Hungary. The day also included some free time, allowing students to explore the charming surroundings of Balatonfüred and Tihany at their own pace.

This series of events not only offered cultural enrichment and meaningful experiences, but also strengthened friendships and international connections among students.
