On December 5, 2024, the University of Dunaújváros held its much-anticipated International Christmas celebration, an evening filled with festive spirit, music, and dance.
The party started with the speech of Ms. Ildikó László, Director of the International Relations, which was followed by first performance of the evening from the Medusa Dance Crew, who impressed the audience with a high-energy hip-hop routine. Their dynamic moves were followed by a traditional folk-dance performance, which included an interactive dance house, inviting participants to join in and experience the cultural richness of Hungarian dance.
After the dance performances, the stage was set for three student-led acts. First, we could listen a beautiful song from our first year student in the field of Computer Science Engineering Illerioluwa Ruth Olowoyeye. After her incredible performance, the host of the event welcomed on stage Minnatollah Rachida Oubaya, one of our second-year students in the field of Computer Science Engineering, who performed a song while playing her guitar. The last student performance of the evening was presented by our second year Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Holder Adaluz Suarez Gonzalez who sang a song to the audience in her native Spanish. Each of the student performers mesmerized the crowd with vocal performances that displayed their remarkable talents. These singing acts brought a touch of magic to the event and left the audience in awe.
Following the student performances, a fun and engaging Christmas quiz brought a competitive yet light-hearted spirit to the evening. After the performances everybody was invited to have some Christmas cakes, drinks, and sandwiches.
The night concluded with a lively dance party, where a DJ kept the music playing and attendees dancing well into the evening.
We hope everyone had a wonderful time at this fantastic event. Wishing you all peaceful and joyful Christmas holidays!
