On Monday, the Science Week series of events kicked off at the University of Dunaújváros.
The series of events, which will run from 4-6 November 2024, started with the Plenary Session, which was opened by Dr. István András István the Rector of the University of Dunaújváros.
In his speech, he said that innovation has become part of our everyday life, and UoD is also putting more and more emphasis on sustainability, which is reflected in the sample curricula, as the institution is launching more and more courses focusing on efficient energy management.
At the Science Week conference, we will also look at possible answers to the storage and greener use of energy in the context of carbon neutrality.
Following the opening speech by Dr. Éva Kovács-Bokor the Vice Rector for Scientific and Research Affairs, the first guest speaker of the plenary session was Viktor Sverla, President of MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas Plc. Director for Strategy and Sustainability of MOL Oil and Gas Company, delivered his presentation entitled "Challenges of the Green Energy Transition from the Perspective of the MOL Group".
On behalf of MVM Zrt., Dr. Ferenc Molnár, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Infrastructure, gave a presentation entitled "The role of innovations in decarbonisation.
Finally, Mr. Mihály Czibula, CEO of MVM Paks Nuclear Power Plant Zrt. TÜH, who gave a presentation on "MVM - Paks I additional lifetime extension project".
