The honour was presented during the opening ceremony of the academic year.

At this year's Opening Ceremony, the Golden Chalk Award was presented to András Péter Kiss – assistant lecturer at the Institute of Social Sciences, - based on student votes. The award was presented in a ceremony by Dr. István András Rector and Anita Leibinger, President of the Student Union.

This is the fifth time since its foundation that a member of the Institute of Social Sciences has won the Outstanding Teaching Award.
