Taking advantage of the last sunny and warm Autumn days the International Office of the University of Dunaújváros organized an excursion on the 11 October 2019 to the beautiful hills of Bakony. We visited two beautiful attractions: the Castle of Sümeg and the Cave-lake of Tapolca.

The Castle of Sümeg is of of the oldest castles of Hungary. Despite it’s age it is still in a very good condition so the visitors can see how a Middle Age castle looked like. The students really enjoyed the castle especially the great panorama from the top. A whole bunch of selfies were taken.

After visiting the castle we took the bus to Tapolca we had a longer lunch break when everyone could take something to eat and explore the downtown individually. Lunch helped everybody to recover a little bit so we could go on and continue our trip. We entered to the Cave Museum of Tapolca where we had a short guided tour around the exhibition, watched a shord 3D movie about the cave system what was followed by the biggest attraction of the excursion. We were boating around the underground Cave-lake what is very adventurous because some parts the cave is quite narrow. It was fun.

According to the continuous great mood and the students’ feedbacks the excursion was a big success. We hope that everyone will remember on it as a nice memory and we also hope that we will be able to have so much more great times together.
