Dr. István András is re-elected as the Rector of University of Dunaújváros for another four years after he will get his commission by the President of the Republic of Hungary.

At the session of the Senate of the University of Dunaújváros which was held on 17^th of May 2022, the tender of Dr. István András habilitate college-professor was supported by 11 members. At the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the University of Dunaújváros on 24 May 2022, the present members unanimously voted to re-elect the current Rector for another four-year term. Dr. István András will start his third term as the Rector of the University of Dunaújváros after his commission by the President of the Republic of Hungary on 1st of July.

In his application, Dr István András emphasized that he plans to lead the institution in the next four years along the goals set in the University's Institutional Development Plan and in the context of the model change of the University of Dunaújváros. Among other things, supporting developments along the lines of the green transformation, building the Paks Competence and Research Centre, and strengthening digitalisation have become strategic priorities in the life of the University of Dunaújváros. The institution is also playing an increasingly important role in the field of vocational training through the Bánki Donát Technical School of the University of Dunaújváros. The institution is looking ahead to significant infrastructure developments soon and plans to strengthen its regional and international presence.
