The aim of the cooperation concluded on 16 February 2022 is to announce common PhD topics, formulate research projects and participate in tasks related to Paks II. project.

The University of Dunaújváros was represented at the event by Dr. István András, Rector, and Dr. Mónika Rajcsányi-Molnár, Deputy Rector for Institutional Development and General Affairs. On behalf of the University of Miskolc, Prof. Dr. Zita Horváth, Rector, and Dr. Zoltán Siménfalvi, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics, participated.

In the framework of the cooperation, the two universities plan to announce joint PhD topics in the following areas: pedagogy, humanities and social sciences, architectural, civil and transport engineering, mechanical engineering, computer and electrical engineering, economics and materials science. The PhD theses are mainly in the field of consulting and Paks II. project-related tasks. In addition, the two universities plan to publish and supervise dissertation and TDK topics (local round of National Scientific Students' Associations Conference) in connection with several disciplines.

The collaborating parties will also consider joint research projects in the fields of engineering, materials science, informatics, electrical engineering and economics. In addition, the two institutions intend to co-operate in material testing during the preparation and implementation phase of the construction of the Paks II nuclear power plant.
