The cooperation between the higher educational institutions of Leszno and of Dunaújváros started many years ago.
The Jan Amos Komenski University of Applied Sciences in Leszno, Poland and our University of Dunaújváros have been working together as partner universities in Erasmus program for more than a decade. In 2019 due to the partnership cooperation agreement, which was signed between the two municipalities, a sistertown relationship was also formed between the town of Leszno and of Dunaújváros.
On 17 January 2022, Dr. István András received his award at a ceremonial meeting of the City Council, in the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Leszno. The President and the prominent representatives of the General Assembly of the Town of Leszno presented the honorary award, which was an extraordinary event since this award was granted for the first time in the history of the town. The title of Honorary Ambassador of the City of Leszno is to address the persons who had a significant role in building and maintaining long-term and valuable relationships of the Polish town.
In addition to the festive program, several more meetings and discussions took place. In addition to the Rector of our university, Dr. habil Mónika Rajcsányi-Molnár, the Vice-Rector for General and Institutional Development Affairs, also represented our institution.
