3 of our SCYP scholarship holders represented UOD at the Official Academic Year Opening Event organised in Budapest on 22nd of October 2021 by the Hungary Helps Agency.

At the beginning of the event, Father Richard Baafi celebrated a mass in honor of the new scholarship holders.

After that Mr. Azbejd Tristan the Deputy State Secretary for the Aid of Persecuted Christians welcomed the new and old scholarship holders as well, and gave a memorial card to the first-year students who visited the Event.

At the end of the event, the scholarship holders and their attendants could participate in a standing reception, which allowed them to share their experiences about the Scholarship Programme with each other.

The core mission of the Scholarship Programme for Christian Young People is to provide opportunities to pursue higher education studies in Hungarian host institutions for Christian youth living in crisis regions of the world. The University of Dunaújváros has been participating in the SCYP programme for 4 years.

The Call for Application for the academic year 2022-23 will open in November.
