The University of Dunaújváros’s I Club once again attracted a strong turnout on 22 October, with more than 50 people in attendance. The programme featured three presentations on smart homes, music and Colombia, bringing together secondary school and university students to share their work, interests and cultural backgrounds.

Szabolcs Szántó and Tamás Hodula, students at Bánki Donát Technical School, presented “The Homes of Tomorrow”, exploring the possibilities of smart homes. Alongside their presentation, they demonstrated a smart lamp they had built themselves. Audience members could test it in real time, using their own phones to switch the lighting on and off. The demonstration gave participants a chance to try the technology for themselves and see it in action.

The focus then shifted to music with Korina Terecskei, a first-year Communication and Media Science student at the University of Dunaújváros. Her presentation, “How Music Is Made and Its Current Trends”, explored music creation and contemporary trends, bringing a creative perspective to the afternoon’s programme.

The final presentation took the audience to Colombia. Adaluz González Suárez, a final-year Business Administration and Management student, introduced her home country in “The Beauty of Colombia”. Her captivating presentation offered a personal perspective on Colombia and an opportunity for participants to discover more about the country through her eyes.
