On 14 November, thirty students from the University of Dunaújváros embarked on an enriching cultural excursion to the historic city of Pécs. The trip offered an exceptional opportunity for students to explore the beauty, traditions, and history that shape one of Hungary’s most remarkable cities.

The first stop of the day was the iconic Pécs TV Tower. Standing high above the clouds, the tower offered breathtaking panoramic views of the entire region. Students were captivated by the scenery, expressing admiration for Hungary’s natural and architectural beauty visible from such an extraordinary height.

Thanks to the support of International Relations Directorate all entrance tickets, meals, drinks, and transportation were fully arranged, allowing students to enjoy a comfortable and well-organized experience throughout the day.

Following the tower visit, the group headed to the vibrant city centre, where they entered one of Pécs’s most significant historical sites:The Downtown Candlemas Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Under the guidance of Dr. Falus Orsolya, students learned about the rich and diverse history of Pécs, as well as the cultural layers reflected in this unique church. The visit left a lasting impression on everyone, as the beauty and atmosphere of the landmark highlighted the deep historical roots of the region.
