How did you decide on choosing the University of Dunaújváros and the study program?

I chose the University of Dunaújváros because of its student-teacher ratio which allows the sufficient time for professors to interact personally with each student which was not possible at several other higher educational institutions. The university is also one of finest institutes for international students as it provides an inclusive and comprehensive learning environment. The program CSE at the university comes with a myraid of specialisations in the field which provides more options, expertise and skills to the students who want to enter the industry.

What things did you learn at UOD that were most helpful to you?

The university provided me a great opportunity to work for the student union and represent international students which not only allowed to socially engage with different communities of students all over the world but also gave me an unprecedented life experience with social and emotional skills that ultimately helped me land into the job I am in.

What is the relationship like between the students and the professors?

The high student-teacher gives students ample time and opportunity to interact with professors on a personal level and learn in a better manner. The professors at the university are overwhelmingly supportive and they encouraged me in every step of my degree and beyond. They also engage students in different projects/activities at different levels which provides students a hands-on learning interdisciplinary experience.

What do you think of the campus of the university?

The campus is beautiful in all senses of the word. It is aestically pleasing to study and live in such a campus. It definitely made my student life at the university more memorable. Several fun and leisure spots at the campus where students can hangout, study and socialize during their stay. The library with its wide collection provides a serene environment for students to study.

What do you think of the extracurricular activities (programs, events, excursions) at UOD?

The university provided me several opportunities to participate in international and national level conferences where I made many contacts and networks. The university also organizes national and international trips for students. The B-Club at the university hosted a variety of events to students to meet and interact with each others providing them an excellent opportunity to understand both international and hungarian culture. Often the interaction cultures lead to many fruitful and meaningful conversations, an experience I never want to forget.

How well did UOD prepare you to enter the workplace?

I took a variety of interdisciplinary courses at the university which ranged from IT to Business Management. This gave me a vantage point in my job search as I could apply jobs which seek graduates from both this fields. This inter and trans disciplinary learning experience made me more competitive in the job market.

What advice would you give to prospective students who are considering to apply to UOD?

For future graduates, I would just like to emphasize the importance of social networking while they are working part-time or interning. Also, they should be in touch with their seniors or colleagues who are working in the fields they are interested in. They should regularly discuss their career plans and remain updated with any new opportunities. Being active on sites like LinkedIn can also be helpful.
