According to the Regional Directorate for Aliens Policing (OIF) it is obligatory to notify them in case of changing your address.

 

From 1 January 2023 the only way of submitting your application for changing the address is electronically.

 

 1) The first step of the procedure is to ask for an accomodation reporting form (address card).

3) Begin with the online application via Enter Hungary. Find the usage manual here.

 

4) You may be requested to visit the Immigration Office in person in order to finalise your application, you will get an appointment automatically from the system in that instance.

 

Note that each county has its own Immigration Office in charge of the region, so for example: if you move to Budapest, you have to visit the Immigration Office in Budapest.
