As from 1 August 2021, the University of Dunaújváros has been operated by the Foundation for the University of Dunaújváros (hereinafter: the Foundation).

The aim of the Foundation is to make the University of Dunaújváros a practical training and knowledge center on both national and international level, and by that ensure a stable human resource supply of Hungary's current largest investment, the Paks II. project as well.

As a University of Applied Sciences, the institution seeks close collaboration with industrial companies, which can be facilitated by a competitive model that provides a more flexible framework. After the change of model, the University can become an institution that adapts faster to the needs of market participants and provides young people with more modern and up-to-date education.

 The governing body of the foundation is the Board of Trustees consisting of five members, its activities are supervised by the Supervisory Board and the auditor.

The Board of Trustees approves the charter, budget, annual report, as well as the organizational and operational rules, the asset management plan of the University, and decides on the initiation of developments. In addition, it decides on the establishment of a business organization and the acquisition of a share in a business organization.
