TDK stands for Tudományos Diákköri Konferencia - Scientific Students' Associations Conference with more than 50 years of tradition. The topic of the research to be presented at TDK is most often determined by the instructor as the supervisor, however, there is no obstacle for a student to initiate it on the basis of his / her own idea, visiting the instructor responsible for the topic, who will be his / her supervisor.

To present the results of TDK's work, the university organizes a TDK Conference every year, usually in the first half of November, which is also a competition. The condition for attending the conference is to prepare and submit a short dissertation summarizing the work done and to give an oral presentation, where it is briefly presented. Successful works can also be nominated for the National Scientific Student Conference (OTDK), which is held every two years in the spring. Participation in institutional or national competitions can primarily provide moral recognition and additional incentives for further research. Placement at a national conference means extra points for applying for a master’s or postgraduate degree and, in many cases, for placement as well. As the TDK work in many cases continues in the dissertation, diploma project, the project work can also be considered as a preliminary dissertation, in which the experience, the supervisor's and the reviewer's opinion can be incorporated. On the other hand, the experience of preparing for the lecture and holding the lecture itself is important.

Reward: At the institutional TDK, all students presenting their dissertations can receive a commemorative card, and students who achieve a position on the TDK will receive a diploma including the position they have achieved. In addition, the institution may award a nationally outstanding result with a Rector's Certificate of Recognition and a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Scientific Student Activities.
