Dr. Cathérine Enorédia Odorige, Associate Professor and Szilvia Kovács Assistant Professor, represented the University of Dunaújváros at two conferences, with their joint papers on the energy transition in Nigeria and Hungary, and on Economic and Historical Determinants in the Development of Sustainable E-Mobility in the two countries.

 

On 14-15 April 2023, the conference called „Decades of crises: from competitiveness to resilience - via the bumpy road of sustainability” was held at the University of Szeged. Cathérine Enorédia Odorige and Szilvia Kovács presented in the session "Changing global value chains", together with colleagues from the Centre for Economic and Regional Research. Our professors’ paper entitled „Economic and Historical Determinants in the Development of Sustainable E-Mobility: the Case of Hungary and Nigeria” examined the spatial elements of transport development, based on the level of social, economic and technological development.

 

 

 

As a part of their ongoing research, the authors presented their work at the conference "Energy crisis and security challenges in the World: sustainable responses of the Asian economies and societies" on 5 May 2023 at the Budapest Business School. The two researchers from Dunaújváros presented the topic: "Energy Mobility Transition in Nigeria and Hungary under the Bilateral Relations of China" and analyzed the situation of Nigeria as a sub-Saharan African country and Hungary as a Central-Eastern European country in the light of Chinese energy investments. A summary of the research was presented in the section "Asia and Its International Political and Economic Relations", with contributions from Hungarian, Philippine and Colombian colleagues.
