CALL FOR IDEAS - Let's green the European Championship together!

The DO MORE IDEA competition is organised in order to find innovative project proposals that can help reduce the carbon footprint of the 2022 Men’s European Handball Championship and its accompanying events.

HOW WOULD YOU GREEN THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP?

A brainstorming competition is announced for students, young professionals and innovators interested in sustainability. The goal is to find innovative project proposals that can help reduce the carbon footprint of the 2022 Men’s European Handball Championship and its side events.

We are not talking to the wind, we are talking about the air: we will implement the best idea together in the end!

 

WHAT SHOULD YOU BE THINKING ABOUT?

  • Initiatives or business model innovations that help green the first men’s handball European championship in the history of Hungary and the festival built around it.
  • Solutions that help reduce or utilize waste generated during the festival and the European Championship.
  • Ideas that help the efficient and innovative use of the logistics system of catering equipment. These can be service or product innovations.
  • Projects that reduce the energy consumption of the festival.
  • Awareness raising environmentally conscious projects.

 

IDEATION WORKSHOP

Don’t you have an idea yet, or do you have one, but it hasn’t completely developed? Are you looking for teammates?

We are organizing an online brainstorming session on March 10, from 5pm, as part of a professional workshop. At the event, you’ll learn about the biggest challenges in greening and organizing a sporting event, get inspiration to complete your own ideas, and give tips on how you can contribute to greening the EHF EURO 2022. THE COMPETITION

From the uploaded and submitted ideas, the professional jury selects the 15 most promising projects. For the 15 selected teams, we will provide professional mentoring and coaching in a second workshop so that you can develop your ideas as deeply and thoroughly as possible. You can register for the idea competition with your team until 22nd March.

  • automatic admission to one of the “greentech” business development programmes of the Climate Innovation Community, with free business development mentoring training;
  • day tickets for European Championship matches;

  • and many more surprises.
