In January 2019, the University of Dunaújváros received a request from the Goethe Institute of Budapest for an intention to cooperate.

The aim of the series of events is to develop a cultural "local dialogue" in Dunaújváros and other cities. This is a very important agreement for the University, which allows the institution to join a successful series of events, so the UoD can open its doors not only to the industry-priority area, but also to culture.

Dr. Mónika Rajcsányi-Molnár, at the press conference of the program, said that one of the challenges of cooperation is to find the cross-section and the points of interconnection between the culture and the harmony of the industrial city. She emphasized that it is a special honor for the institution to cooperate with the council of Dunaújváros in this initiative.

Michel Müller-Verweyen, Director of the Goethe-Institute Hungary, said he was proud to conclude a partnership agreement with the University of Dunaújváros. Both the appropriate intellectual and institutional infrastructure is available at the UoD to conclude such cooperation. It was a pleasure for them that the University had so openly welcomed the idea of a dialogue project they offered.

Following the press conference, over 20 people were present from the tree institutes in a round table discussion on the subject.
