Then Aldo Nelson Bona, president of ABRUEM explained that the intention of their visit was to seek for new bilateral cooperation in Hungary that would allow them to start common projects in the area of education and research development. The connection that binds the University of Dunaújváros together with the South-American country is not new at all. Our institution welcome 69 students between 2013 and 2015 for part-time studies thanks to the Science Without Borders scholarship. It is an integral part of the internationalization to establish and efficiently maintain connection with South-American, especially to Brazilian partners. Within the framework of our International Campus project ever since 2015 we are actively building our relationships outside of Europe as well, and for now we have 8 Brazilian higher-educational institutions among our partners. With them we seek opportunities for student and lecturer exchanges and for elaborated researches. With the university UNIS Educational Group located in Varginha for example we successfully handed in our common application for the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme. Within two years 3 students and 12 staff mobilities were carried out between the institutions.

Based on the International Campus project our university has started its own scholarship programme called “Study and More” that provides students with the opportunity of spending a semester at the University of Dunaújváros for free. Thanks to this possibility we could welcome 15 students form 4 different partner universities from Brazil and we expect other 4 students in the upcoming semester too.
