The European Week for Waste Reduction  in 2020 once again draws attention to the importance and solutions of a sustainable and waste-free lifestyle.

The initiative was first launched in 2009, when the participating countries’ people who wanted to do something for their environment so that they organized a one-week-long campaign in the framework of which they raised awareness of household waste reduction, waste prevention, the importance of separate waste collection and reuse with their own ideas. A major problem is the generation of waste and, within that, the problem of illegally dumped, abandoned waste. This year’s focus is on “invisible waste”.
