The University of Dunaújváros and the Tungsram Operations Kft. held a ceremony , within its framework a memorandum of understanding has been signed.

 Dr. habil István András, Rector of the University of Dunaújváros, University Chancellor Ádám Sándor Kiss, Dr. György Ágoston, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Research Affairs, Joerg Bauer, Executive Director of Tungsram Operations Ltd.. and Ferenc Pongrácz, Innovation Director of Tungsram Operations Ltd. took part on the event.

The University and Tunsgram would like to officially frame the common research and development projects on the fields of LED lights, plant sensors and the evolving of different gardening applications. Furthermore, among the different areas of cooperation we find the introduction of new subjects, using the infrastructure of the university’s well-equipped TV studio, participation in common projects, organizing student contests, employing the Hungarian and international students for professional tasks and the establishment of new technical researches.

The event begun with the speech of Dr. habil István András, Rector of the University of Dunaújváros. He emphasised the importance of being connected to the industrial sector and highlighted the role of our institution in applied sciences. We are delighted that we can welcome such a prestigious company as the Tungsram Group among our partners.

The program continued with the speech of representative of Tungsram Operations Ltd., Joerg Bauer, Executive Director. He explained that the Tunsgram Group has been continuously establishing closer links with the higher-educational institutions since its founding. This offers great opportunity to teachers and students of the university as it helps them to prevail in the global marketplace, and while they are providing constant assistance the innovation goals of the company will be achieved more easily as well.
